Learning Commons

The Learning Commons is a new collaborative learning environment located in the library. This space allows current students one-stop access to peer tutoring in the Writing Center, Math Lab, and other subjects. Please use the Navigate App and book a tutoring appointment to see a detailed schedule of our services.  Visitors to the Learning Commons also have easy access to Library services and the Academic Success Center (Peer Mentoring and Disability Services).

Peer Tutoring

Visit the Learning Commons to work on group projects, discuss papers or presentations, prepare for an upcoming exam, get help with homework, or hang out with friends while studying.  Peer tutoring is available in:

  • Math: including statistics, calculus, developmental math, and algebra;
  • Writing: all stages of the writing process, for any course; and
  • A variety of specific subjects, such as Economics, Psychology, or Business.

Students visiting the Learning Commons have easy access to the vast array of Library services. The following online library resources may be of particular interest to Learning Commons visitors.

Academic Success Center

The Academic Success Center serves all students with disabilities at Roosevelt University. The use of disability services is voluntary and confidential. The Learning Commons and the Academic Success Center work together to provide appropriate tutoring and academic support for students utilizing disability services.
